It exhibits a relative density ranging from 2.78 to 2.91 and boasts a white hue tinged with gray or red. The mineral occurs in the form of plate-like, radial, or fibrous aggregates, displaying a vitreous luster and a pearly luster on cleavage surfaces.
Under ultraviolet light, wollastonite powder emits a fluorescent or phosphorescent glow, and its melting point stands at approximately 1540°C. Renowned for its needle-like and fibrous crystalline structure, high whiteness, anhydrous composition, high melting point, low coefficient of thermal expansion, corrosion resistance, weathering resistance, and excellent mechanical and electrical properties, wollastonite powder finds extensive applications across various industries.
